The mission behind Gymi-preparation Focus
Gymi-preparation Fokus has set itself the goal of offering efficient preparatory courses for the entrance exam to long and short-term grammar schools. Right from the start, there is a strong focus on possible examination tasks so that young people are familiarized with the examination requirements.
The courses have a modular structure and focus on one exam-relevant topic per double lesson. The necessary basics are repeated and various types of tasks are then discussed.
At home, the young people complete a so-called checkpoint on the topic to check what they have already understood and what they still need to work on. If questions arise, these can be clarified in our revision lessons. Of course, our teachers are also available outside of course times.

Our teachers know exactly how to provide high-quality lessons, give valuable didactic feedback and prepare students optimally for their Gymi exams.
Nicole is a qualified secondary school teacher and the creative mind behind the course materials. She is also responsible for recruiting teachers, all organizational tasks and is the contact person for students outside of course times. As an examination expert at the Kantonsschule Uetikon am See, she knows the requirements of the entrance examination inside out.
Michèle is a qualified primary school teacher and, as a practical teacher at the PHZH, also passes on her extensive knowledge to students. At Fokus, she is responsible for the pedagogical management of the primary level.
Selina is a trainee primary school teacher, easily recognizes the difficulties of her pupils and knows exactly how to solve them.
Marc is a trainee secondary school teacher and his upbeat manner makes even the biggest math fanatic enjoy the subject.

Martin is studying at the University of Teacher Education at secondary level. He enjoys discussing the correct use of commas just as much as he enjoys passing on mathematical formulas - which makes him our professional all-rounder.

Laura is a qualified primary school teacher and accompanies pupils on their way to secondary school with great sensitivity and expertise. Responding to the individual needs of her pupils is her great strength.
Alessandra is studying at the Zurich University of Teacher Education and supports both our younger and older pupils with a great deal of passion.
As a prospective secondary school teacher, Julia is very familiar with the requirements of the cantonal school. She is an expert at passing on her enthusiasm for the German language.
With her bachelor's degree in communication in the field of applied linguistics, Vivien is our expert when it comes to linguistic design. She also conveys mathematical content with impressive ease.

Sophia taught for several years at the University of Essen and tutors at all school levels. As a native speaker of High German, Sophia's core competencies are assessing essays and teaching text strategies.
Our locations for the ideal Gymi-preparation
Our course locations are ideally situated close to the train stations - at Zurich main station, Stadelhofen, Winterthur, Wetzikon, Uster, Meilen and Bülach. All course locations are just a few minutes' walk from the respective train stations.
We also offer several of our courses online. We have modern visualizers so that students can follow the teacher's written and verbal explanations in real time.
